After the fair, we headed into the city of Mongkok just to have the best dimsum of the night! Finding Tim Ho Wan was easy but the long queue was not pleasant at all. Fortunately, a 45 minute wait was not bad! Can you believe that this little canteen vibe was awarded as the least expensive Michelin starred restaurant in the world? - I do believe now! After trying their famous baked pork buns and ham suy kok (minced pork and mushroom wrapped in glutinous rice) especially being my favorite, I haven't tasted anything as close to this! The crumbliest bun and the softest glutinous rice wrap justified the award for me. Even their normal dimsums are quite impeccable that we ordered a total of 35 baskets just for 6 people! I will definitely go back even if I have to wait again!
Now that the feast is over, we just explored the famous night market. Love the busy vibe, every corner, alley and street is picture perfect! I'm wearing my favorite jacket, an old warm sweater, jeans and a comfortable sperry topsider shoes :)
